Flow charts in seconds, not hours.

Upload the chart you already have, drop in a document, describe it in a sentence, or build it from scratch. Flow Charter's AI does the drawing, and you get back real shapes you can edit.

  • Runs in your browser
  • 100% free

Describe a process in a few words and watch it get drawn.

How it works

From idea to flow chart in three steps

  1. Pick a way in

Upload a chart or a PDF, describe what you need, or start drawing. No forms and no account.

  2. AI drafts it in seconds

Flow Charter lays out the steps, the decisions and the connectors between them.

  3. Make it yours

Rename, restyle and rearrange anything. Your board saves itself as you go.

Features

A canvas that keeps up with you

  • Connectors that route themselves

They pick their own sides, bend around shapes and snap into line as you drag.

  • More than flowcharts

Swimlanes, data flow diagrams, decision trees and SIPOC, with tips for each.

  • Styled your way

Restyle shapes, colours and type, and add icons or pictures to any step.

  • Saves as you go

Your board is kept in this browser automatically, so a closed tab loses nothing.

  • Light and dark

Easy on the eyes at any hour, on the canvas and off it.

  • Export and a library

A free account adds PNG, SVG and JSON export, and a library on every device.

100% free. No sign-up to start.

Open the editor and go. If you want to export your charts or keep them in a library across devices, a free account takes a few seconds.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is Flow Charter really free?

Yes. Creating, uploading, describing and editing flow charts is free, and so is the optional account.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. You can build and edit charts straight away, and they are saved in your browser. A free account adds export (PNG, SVG and JSON) and a library of saved charts you can open on any device.

What can I upload?

Photos, screenshots and images (PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP), and PDF documents. A photo of a whiteboard sketch works, and so does a PDF that only describes a process in words.

Can I edit what the AI makes?

All of it. You get real shapes and connectors, not a picture, so every label, colour and line can be changed or moved.

Where is my work saved?

Without an account, in this browser on this device. With one, in your library, so it follows you wherever you sign in.
